What does the Kissi Kenya Project Need?

Improved Living Conditions
With scarce and limited resources the Kenya Orphanage is, at present, only able to provide a small mud hut for shelter.
• A purpose built orphanage to sleep at least 40 children with a room to eat meals and a place for recreation and study.
• New Toilet facilities
• Electricity Generator

New Sleeping Furniture
Due to a shortage of beds, the orphanage sleeps 3 children to a bed.
• New Bunks Beds
• Mosquito Nets
• Mattresses, Pillows and Blankets
• Clothes & Shoes

Water Supply System
Kissi has no water supply system that comes directly to the village. The nearest source of water is a 1 km walk away.
• Pump generator to be installed in the village.

Education
Those that are fortunate enough to go to school are not able to develop their learning at home due to lack of books, pencils and writing materials.

Food security
They have no regular source of income due to the irregularity and scarcity of employment in the local area.

• Resources to buy livestock and cattle to provide an income to buy food

The aim of our project is to improve the quality of life of the children of Kissi and reduce their need for hand-outs and restore dignity and independence.

Regular monthly giving helps us provide food, clothing and resource materials for schools
Donations help provide a water pump system for the orphanage
Building Project significant work can begin on constructing the purpose built orphanage

Ecclesia Ministries Orphanage project is (part of the E-missions program) focuses its activities on children and young people. They have the greatest capacity to transcend the conflicts of their communities and to bring about change in the future.

Children are increasingly amongst the most vulnerable in conflict situations; conflict isn't always the result of war. Poverty, desperation and anguish also create situations where children suffer violence and neglect. Your support to this project will greatly help to improve the quality of life for the children of Kissi.
